Tuesday Tea Party - Aussie BBQ

Hello friends! We are participating again this week in the Tuesday Tea Party hosted by The Plumed Pen.
This week, we are having an Aussie BBQ tea party. Unfortunately, Patsy and I didn't have time to dress up for this party - we do apologise!

We have invited some native wildlife friends to join us :-) These roos really know how to party!

We will be serving an Aussie BBQ favourite - sausage and onion sandwich with tomato sauce! Very delicious :-)

And our beverage of choice this week - cold beer (it is summer-time after all). There's plenty to choose from ....

We even have dessert - the Lamington!

The lamington is a traditional Australian cake! Small squares of plain cake, dipped in melted chocolate, and coated in dessicated coconut! Very nice!

Thanks for stopping by - hope you have enjoyed the selections this week!! Cheers!

Hi Karen and Patsy!

We came across your blog from Lorenza's blog, and just had to visit because Pops grew up in Australia (though we live in Singapore now). And when he saw the Toohey's New on tap, he was so happy cos that's his favorite beer.

Come visit us sometime!

Thanks for letting me share part of your Aussie BBQ. Send some of that summer over to the USA. We are having our first blizzard of the winter here in Minnesota where I live. Cold and lots of snow.

How wonderfully fun! We've just begun to get swamped by snow here this week and I know that it will many months before bbq weather returns, so it's really fun to take part in your imaginary cookout! :)

Huge thanks for your many wonderful visits and comments, sweetie, I hope you're having a marvelous week!

He, he, can't believe it! That is my favorite cake. But I never knew is the traditional cake for Australia. I use to cook it for Christmas. Every year. We call it coconut cake.
